Ardi Ardak implemented a demonstration plot in Labweh, North Beqaa to train farmers on the importance of precision farming and intercropping within fruit tree orchards. Intercropping allows farmers to offset the initial investment made on the fruit trees, decreases weed growth, and generates revenues for the farm. For this plot we selected native herbs and vegetables such as zaatar and eggplants to be used for makdoos to create food processing and farm job opportunities for local women and men in our beautiful rural communities.
